(Panic!: meet the press) It's time for us to take a chance It's time for us...
Previously:
Cameron Hayden, the FAN Party Presidential Candidate, paced around the living room of the FAN Party leader, and Cameron’s running-mate, Dave Adams’ home office, Dave sat at the desk on the phone, his long black hair pulled back into a bun. Cameron sent glares at Dave occasionally, before turning and walking.
“Okay. Okay. Oh! Kay! Thanks, uh-huh, thanks. Bye,” Dave said, hanging up the phone. He tipped his head back and let out an aggravated sigh.
“So?” Cameron said annoyed.
“I have good news and bad news,” Dave said.
“And?” Cameron said.
“Well, we can get the ring for you,” Dave said.
“And?”
“Cam, we can’t find Tommy. He’s disappeared. The last place they knew where he was, was at the hospital. And they’re not even sure how he got out of there,” Dave said.
“Do we have anyone on him? Anyone trying to find him?” Cameron asked.
“We have everyone trying to find him,” Dave said.
Just then the door creaked open.
“Trying to find who, Cameron?” Cameron’s girlfriend, Jade Chung, asked.
“No one, Babe,” Cameron said.
“Cameron,” Jade said looking into his eyes, pleading, “Please! Don’t go after him. I want to live to marry you, Cameron. I want to have a family. You can’t be President if you’re dead!”
“Jade, I know. But you don’t understand. I can’t live as long as there is someone else out there who is an exact copy of me. He can ruin everything. He has to die. He HAS to die,” Cameron said.
“Please, Cameron, don’t,” Jade said backing away from Cameron and walking out of the door.
“God damn it!” Cameron yelled, slamming his hand on Dave’s desk. “What the hell is next? You know, Dave, it is like, every time I’m not being kidnaped or killed, something else has to happen. Why the fuck can’t things go right, for fucking once! One time!”
“Nothing ever goes right, Cam,” Dave said, his eyes glued to a message on his computer screen.
>*<>*<
“Lauren.. I don’t want to loose him again!” Jade said, crying on her friends shoulder.
“I know, nobody wants to see Cameron hurt, or killed. He’s come close, but it’s going to take a lot to kill that boy,” Lauren said.
“Jade,” Cameron said walking into the room.”I’d like to talk to you, if you’ll let me.”
“Of course,” Jade said.
“I’ll leave you two be,” Lauren said, walking out of the room.
Cameron sat in front of Jade on the couch she had been sitting on. He sighed. And grabbed her hand, running his rough thumb over her knuckles. She looked down at their hands. His large, with his long boney fingers, hers, small, dainty. They seemed to fit perfectly together.
“Jade, I know I’ve made things so rough on you the last few months,” Cameron said, and sighed. “But, I want you to know, I won’t put myself in any unnecessary risk. Because, I want us to be able to have a future together. And I’m sorry I’ve put you through so much.”
Jade wrapped her arms around Cameron’s neck and kissed him on the cheek.
“Thank you,” Jade whispered.
“So, how about you and me, go out to lunch at our old place,” Cameron said smiling.
“The Veganraunt?” Jade asked.
Cameron nodded and smiled. Jade threw her arms around Cameron’s neck, squealed in joy and kissed his cheek.
>*<>*<
Jack Smith and his wife, Samantha. The average American married couple. Or, at least that is how they looked. The two dark haired-brown eyed twenty-somethings were members of the FAN Party in the public eye, behind closed doors, these two were card carrying members of the American Communist Party. They, and their comrades in Russia, the base of the entire Communist party worldwide, were planning on using an experimental weapon one of their spies had lifted from Russian intelligence.
This weapon was a bomb, but not just any bomb. This bomb didn’t kill, or destroy. This bomb was able to send people back, or forward, in time. All you had to do was set the date, and you were off. That is what the seemingly mundane couple of Jack and Samantha Smith were doing in a back ally in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
>*<>*<
Jade and Cameron walked arm-in-arm down the street, talking and laughing. A strange beeping noise cut through the air like a knife, grabbing Jade’s attention.
“What is that?” Jade said.
“What is what?” Cameron asked, confused.
“That beeping,” Jade said. “Follow me.” And with that, Jade dragged Cameron towards and ally, where the noise was coming from. She spotted the two Communists, huddled over the bomb, with a look of horror on their face as Cameron and Jade approached. What was even more scary, was who was standing behind Cameron.
“I am going to get you fucker,” The man said right behind Cameron, when the bomb beeped, and in a white hot flash of light, Jade, Cameron, and the Smith’s and the man standing behind Cameron, were all gone. [/b][/color]
Once the burning flash went away, Jade and I found ourselves in the middle of a street of a place we’ve never seen before. It didn’t look familiar at all.
“Are you okay?” I asked, standing up, and dusting myself of the dirt that had covered the back of my pants from sitting on the road.
“Yeah,” Jade said. I reached my arm down, and the grasped it with her dainty hand. I pulled her to her feet and she dusted herself off.
“Where are we,” She asked looking around. I guess we had been thinking the same thing.
“I have no clue,” I said looking down and up the road, and seeing nothing but corn stalks hanging high above my height, and grass slowly reclaiming the dirt path that had been cut into a makeshift road.
She came up behind me, grabbing my right arm with her two hands. Slowly We began to make our trek down the road. But the heat was something we had not prepared for. I was dressed in a pair of heavy jeans, and a long sleeved Panic! At The Disco t-shirt, covered by a black, open sweatshirt.
Slowly we ventured down the road, trying to see if any of our surroundings were familiar, but we both had the deep, sinking sensation that we wouldn’t recognize any of this. And we were right. Jade was the first one to have to lose clothing from the head. She was wearing a pair of light blue jeans, with a purple skirt over top and a white short sleeved blouse with a black tie on. She lost the tie and the white shirt, leaving her in a red tank top. I wasn’t far behind her, shedding my sweatshirt.
After walking for nearly a mile, we heard a noise in the corn, we both turned and looked, and saw the tall stalks shaking, as if someone, or something had just moved through them.
“What was that?” Jade said, grabbing my arm.
I slowly began to walk towards the side of the road, squashing several small blades of just-growing grass. I pushed the stalks aside and tried to look through them to see if a spotted anyone, or anything, coming after, or watching us. I looked around several minutes, going farther into the corn, but still not finding anything.
“It’s all clear,” I said. With that Jade and I continued our trek.
>*<>*<
“Where am I?” Tommy Dalton asked out loud, punching a tree in frustration. He had disappeared, just second away from killing Cameron Hayden. Now, he was hear, in god know’s where, in the center of a corn field.
“Where are we?” Tommy heard a voice say.
“I don’t know,” A voice identical to his answered. Cameron. Tommy followed the sounds of their feet, and made his way towards the road, finally able to just barely make-out his clone, Cameron Hayden, and his girlfriend Jade Chung. Tommy tailed them, for nearly a mile, before he got his foot caught on a root and lost his balance,.
“What was that?” Jade said. And with that, Tommy dove beneath the cover of grass on the ground. After a couple seconds Cameron was back there looking around. A few minutes later, after coming inches away from stepping on Tommy, Cameron left and they continued Walking.
Tommy laid on the ground for several minutes, until they had passed., Then he got up and began stalking them again, like a lion in waiting to pounce.
>*<>*<
After walking for several more minutes, we came upon a large farmhouse. It was red, and had a large barn, the exact same color as the house. Sitting half-way between the barn and the house was a John Deere green tractor that they obviously used to travel their vast expanse of acreage.
“Finally,” Jade said sighing, “A house.”
“Should we go and ask them where we are?” I asked.
“But, they might think we’re crazy,” Jade said.
“I know, that’s why I asked,” I said, smirking. Jade laughed a little, the first time we had relaxed even the slightest bit since this whole nightmare began. Slowly we walked up to the house. There was a screen door and I knocked on that, hoping someone was home. We waited several minutes before a large woman answered the door.
She was quite big, and was dressed in a long sun dress, and long brown hair. She held a small child, about two or three years old on her hip.
“Hello?” She asked, looking at Jade and I.
“Hi,” I said. “We’re kinda lost, could you tell us where we are?”
“Philadelphia, of course,” She said.
“Philadelphia?” I said confused.
“Yup,” She answered.
“Pennsylvania?” I said confused.
“Yup,” She said.
“What road is this” I asked confused.
“This is Market Street, boy,” She said laughing. “You two really must be lost.”
“Yeah,” Jade said. “We’re not from around here.”
“Thanks for your help,” I said as we turned and began walking down the road once more.
“This can’t be Market street. There’s no way. Market street isn’t narrow, anywhere near farmland, and..” I trailed off stopping dead in my tracks.
“What is it?” Jade asked.
“That flash of light.. What if it did something? What if we’re in the past, or the future, or something?” I said.
“That can’t be,” Jade said.
“Maybe,” I responded.
Just then something hit me from behind and I landed hard face first into the dirt. I turned my head back to look at who had hit me, and standing above me, was... me. Tommy Dalton, my clone that had made it his life mission to kill me.
“Nice to see you made it here safely,” I said.
“You know, Sarcasm will get you nowhere in this world,” Tommy said smirking at me.
“Well, I’m the favorite to be elected President, dating a beautiful woman, and living a great life doing what a love. I defiantly have gotten nowhere,” I said laughing.
“Look, ass hole, I have no idea where I am. It’s just me, you, and your bitch,” Tommy said, nodding his head in Jade’s direction. That’s when I got mad.
“Look, ass face, insult me all you want, something like that from a man made of my SPIT, means nothing to me,” I cracked my knuckles on my right hand, and then my left. “But, as soon as you insult her, I’ll be forced top beat the ever loving piss out of you, you worthless piece of garbage.”
I ran at Tommy, catching him off guard, with a punch to the jaw. He stumbled back, and put his had up to his jaw, wincing at the touch of the spot.
“Nice punch,” Tommy said, catching me off guard with a shot of his own. “But you hit like a girl.”
“And you trip like a blind woman on steps,” I said, sweeping his legs out from under him. I kicked him in the ribs a few times, before he grabbed my ankle pulling me down, and hopping to his feet. He dropped an elbow into my stomach, knocking the air out of my lungs.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small brown object. He shook it and a blade emerged. He put it against my throat and looked me right in the eye.
“Do exactly what I say,” he said to Jade, “and I won’t kill him.”
“Okay,” She said, trembling, “Just don’t hurt him. Please.”

Cameron Hayden sat in a seat in an empty audience. Cameron was the only face in an otherwise empty arena. The only other people, were two wrestlers, training in submission fighting under Cameron’s tutelage. Cameron had recently opened a wrestling school, and due to his EWE schedule, he was only able to come to the school periodically throughout the month.
Cameron was dressed in a black Bowling for Soup t-Shirt and a pair of blue jeans. He had his feet up on the back of the chair and a folder is set in his lap. Cameron looks up at the camera and grins. “Since I debuted in the EWE, there have been a few people who have constantly come after me for numerous retarded reasons. White Tiger. Android 18. Derek Daniels. And the whole group of “popular” kids in the backstage area. These were the people that spent their time insulting, attacking and cutting down on people like me.
“The pure professional athletes like Sean Lewis. Like myself. The people who weren’t the “normal” EWE Superstar, yet have still become successful superstars in the EWE. Look at Sean Lewis. Two-time World Champion, King of Xtreme, and countless other accolades. Look at me one half of the first ever X-Tag team Championship duo. A former X Division Champion and the favorite to win this years King of Xtreme tournament. I am on my way to main eventing Wrestlemania IV, and taking the Championship I was so unjustly robbed of, when I had to have emergency surgery to remove an organ in my body that was on the verge of exploding and more than likely killing me.
“Rikku won a World title, simply because I got sick. Her Championship reign should rightfully be MY Championship reign. But it isn’t. And I can’t change that. But, this time. I have a match with none other than Android 18.
“!8 has been one of the many people to constantly cut me down since my debut. Telling me numerous times how much she hates my style, and giving me more crap that a horse in a parade. Apparently, being a former World Champion gives you the right to be a complete jackass. Well, 18, I found something else from your past that completely cancels out a World Championship.
“Android 18, used to be a Spanish porn, or they call El porno, star. Yes, you heard me correct, a Spanish. Porn. Star. Take this for example,” Cameron held up a picture showing it to the camera.
“Look at that, 18, apparently it was “enorme” and you seemed to be either really enjoying it, or in quite a bit of pain, eh? And for somebody who has sided with a dead organization, gone on the longest losing streak of her career, and made a mockery of the entire EWE, as a top superstar. It’s people like you that hold back people like me. The young star, the person ready to make that one last step to the top.
“Now, let’s move onto your days in America. Once you spent so much time getting it in the butt from Spanish men, it was time to pose for your first American magazine. Dungeon’s and Dragon’s monthly did a wonderful spread on our favorite mostly robotic, future professional wrestler. Here’s a photo from this very scene.
“I bet Doctor Gero is SO proud of you, right now. His creating, exploiting the gifts he bestowed upon her, just to make some cheap money. 18, you’re nothing but a no talent attention whore. And I can’t wait to wrap my arms around you, and lock in the Contraception. Then, I will shut down your circuitry, and when I am done with you, you moronic piece of computer, I will leave you, defeated, again.
“You’re nothing but a fucking shell of the greatness you once were! And it is my job to exploit you as the has-been you have become.
“Don’t blink, I may be the last thing you ever see. My name is Cameron Hayden and I Am Above You!

Walked into our world and made Horrible sounds. I can still hear them today (strangely they seem) Beautiful now, though they outlast my love.

Every word.

“Get over there!” Tommy yelled pointing off to the side of the road. “Now!”
Up to this point, Jade Chung has played a significant role in the saga of Cameron Hayden. She’s always been the damsel in distress, except when she was first introduced, being the outgoing girl of Cameron’s dreams, and later, the murderer of Cameron’s mother, at Cameron’s request. Jade has been Cameron’s partner through all of Cameron’s ordeals.
She had been kidnaped by Bill Clinton, put through constant worry when Cameron was kidnaped by the Crimelord of Las Vegas, and later cloned. She also had to sit by and watch Cameron fight for his life, once being shot.
But how much do we all, REALLY know about Jade Chung, besides being Cameron’s girlfriend? Well, we really know nothing. So, I have decided to take this time, as the writer of this saga, and spin a yarn about Jade Chung.
Jade is just 20 years old, two younger than Cameron. She was born February 16, 1986. The very same day the French attacked a Libyan air base. And only a month and change before Wrestlemania 2. Jade was the last of five kids born to Bao Chung and his wife Ly Chung. She was the first, and only girl the Chung family was given. The Chung’s were a family of Vietnamese immigrants. Bao, Ly and Bao’s parents had come from the home country in the late 70's.
Jade had a normal life early on. Grew up, being picked on by her siblings, but had a normal, average life. But, when she was ten years old, her mother died in a car accident, in her hometown of Toronto. Distraught, the entire Chung family moved away from Toronto, following the funeral. Bao, and his five children packed up and moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This made Jade a Vietnamese-Canadian-American.
She was the only female remaining in her household. She had no female role models, just her, and five guys. She grew up a tomboy. She felt so out of place as a young woman, she would even tape down her breasts in her mid-teenage years. But, finally, she made a friend. Her friend Caitlin. They spent most of High School, being best friends, and right after High School, they moved into an apartment together.
It was then, Jade met Cameron. She moved out of her apartment with Caitlin, and both keep in touch.
This is the path that led Jade to being in some sort of strange other-world Philadelphia, being told to get to the side of the road, as a clone of her boyfriend, holds a knife to the throat of her boyfriend.
“Please,” Jade pleaded, tears welling up in her eyes. “Don’t hurt him.”
“Don’t worry, Princess, do what I tell you, and you won’t get hurt,” Tommy smirked.
“When I get up from this, I swear to fucking GOD, Tommy, I will slit your fucking worthless throat!” Cameron sat at the man laughing at his misfortune.
“Cam, are you REALLY, in any position to be threatening me?” Tommy laughed.
“Hey!” A voice boomed, that grabbed the attention of all three of them. A large black man walked down the road. He was dressed in a uniform that looked government issue. Tommy’s pressure on the knife relaxed, allowing Cameron to grab his wrist and pull it away from his throat.
“Where you three from?” He asked.
“We’re from Philly,” Jade said.
“You must not be,” He told her.
“Why’s that?” Jade asked.
“You don’t got your tags,” He said.
“Our what?!” I said confused.
“Your slave tags,” The man said.
“What the fuck is a slave tag?” Tommy asked.
“Don’t play dumb with me wiggers. Where are your tags?” He asked, sounding a bit annoyed.
“We don’t have any idea what you’re talking about,” I said, pulling myself to my feet.
“Where are your TAGS? The tags that say your name, your occupation and your owner,” He said, rolling his eyes.
“My name is Cameron Hayden, ass hole. I’m a professional wrestler and I belong to nobody,” I said. “This,” I pointed at Jade,” Is my girlfriend. And this, “I pointed at Tommy, ”Is my retarded clone who wants to kill me.”
“That’s all fine and dandy, but if you’re white, you need to have a tag, whether you’re free or not. Did y’all get freed from your master?” He asked.
“No, we’ve never even had ‘masters,’” I said.
“Just what I thought,” He smirked. “Get ’em!”
And with that, a group of black men ran through the corn plant and tackled the three of us.
“You all are under arrest, under the rules of the fugitive slave laws,” One of the officers yelled.
Jade screamed, and I kicked and punched, as the men, grabbed her arm and pulled it behind her, slapping on handcuffs.
“No! You fuckers!” I yelled, as one of them came up behind me. I kicked him in the stomach, knocking him back. Another one came from the side, and I caught him with a couples quick punches. I was handling myself great, and took down most of them, until I got caught with a taser in the back of my neck, and everything we dark. I awoke a few hours later, to find myself in shackles. I was dressed in nothing but very short shorts. I also had a number around my neck, and a collar with a tag on it. Jade was actually sitting next to me which I didn’t expect. She was dressed in clothes that just barely covered her. She had a collar and tag around her neck too.
“What’s going on?” I asked.
“Cam,” She said looking into my eyes panicked. “They’re auctioning us off.”
“Excuse me?” I said.
“They’re auctioning us off. Selling us,” She said.
“Are you serious?” I asked.
“Yeah, look.” She pointed.
A man was on stage, being paraded around, as black men yelled out bids.
“This is insane,” I said, shaking my head. “We just went back in time, and to bizzaro world. How could this be happening?”
“I don’t know,” she said, grabbing Cameron’s hand.
“Don’t worry,” I said. “We’ll make it through this. I promise.”
I returned to you but found, My empty home. The radio told me to stay. As it burned down I sang alone. You will outlast my love.
Still each time I always meant, Every word, Every one. Though in time they finally bent, Every word, Every one.
Every word.
"I will wait for you." She said, Endlessly. "I will wait for you." So spoke,Misery.
“Android 18, the eve of our match is upon us. Are you ready for it? Because I don’t think you are. See, after all the time I’ve been waiting for this match. For months, I have hoped, prayed and asked for this match. And now, after all your snide little comments behind my back, you balk at the chance to say this stuff to my face.
“I know you’re a Spanish Robot Whore, but I didn’t know you were a gutless, spineless, coward. You think Dr. Gero would have hardwired you with some sort of a backbone. But instead, I have to stand here with nothing to talk about, because you’re a pathetic coward afraid to speak to my face? Well, you know what, you stupid bitch. I can’t wait for this match.
“See, I have been waiting to wrap you up in the Contraception for months. I can’t wait to knock you unconscious. Because after the match is done, I will pick you up, and lock it in again. And I won’t let go of that hold, until you’re dead. I am not in this match because of great competition. Quite the contrary. I am here to kill you, 18.
“You can cut down on me all you want. But, just like your fuck-buddy White Tiger. Just like his fuck-buddy Derek Daniels. Just like Shawn Ashlocke, Johnny Chaos, and the countless others that I have beaten, you will fail. Your name has been held to such a mythical level. And now, you’re slipping, I am here to be that final nail in your coffin.
“So, 18, while I am standing above you, and you are lying on the mat, staring up at me like I am your God, remember one thing. Remember all of those comments you made about me, backstage. All of the shit you talked. And remember, what comes around goes around. And for you what went around, is coming around.
“Don’t blink. I might be the last thing you ever see. My name is Cameron Hayden, and I Am Above You!”
I have been waiting for you, Biting as you taught me to. I have come to relieve you, Of life and love.
I will wait for you. I will wait for you. I will wait for you.
I will wait.
I will wait.
"I will wait for you." She said, Endlessly."I will wait for you." So spoke, Misery.
"I will wait for you" Wait for you, Endlessly.
"I will wait for you." So spoke.
So spoke, Misery.
I will bite straight through. As I wait for you Dear, Endlessly.
