The scene opens with Mat Manner sitting alone in his locker room with his feet up on the table twiddling his thumbs. Suddenly A letter is slipped in from under the door. Mat looks side to side with a "wha..." look on his face. He gets out of the chair and picks up the letter. He opens it slowly and begins to read. The letter reads as follows
Dear Mr Manner We regret to inform you that your great uncle has passed June 14th 2006. Due to your uncle's security state he has left you a number of $100,000. In order to collect on this you must contact us at 634-7453 again we are sorry for your loss.
suddenly the door quickly opens starteling Mat into dropping the letter. His friend Eric walks into the room and picks up the letter for Mat on the ground. He quicly skims through it then looks at Mat.
Eric: Who is Charlie?
Mat Manner: I have no clue... I didnt even know that I had a great uncle let alone a rich one.
Eric: No one ever told you about him?
Mat Manner: I think someone would have told me about a rich uncle that I have. Most of all one thats just giving money away on his death bed.
Eric: Why is he leaving you so much money?
Mat Manner: Must have been really rich since he is giving money away to pretty much strangers.
Eric: Maybe he felt bad about not getting to know you in your life.
Mat Manner: Hes rich, how could he feel bad?
Eric: Good point, you know what they say! Money cant buy happiness, but it can rent it repeatedly.
Mat Manner: I wonder how he died...
Eric: Why dont you call that number on the letter and ask? That way you can ask about the money at the same time.
Mat Manner: Maybe I should call my family first and see what they think about it.
Eric: Call them after, I wanna know more about this uncle.
Mat Manner: fine fine ill call the number on the letter first.
Mat picks up the phone and dials the number that was written by letter. It rings three times then a older man picks up the phone, its a real business man type of voice.
Business man: Hello?
Mat Manner: Hi this is Mat Manner calling about the letter I just recieved about my uncle charlie.
Business Man: Oh yes, very sorry to hear about it. He was a good friend of mine, I handled most of his legal work.
Mat Manner: oh so your his lawyer?
Business Man: Not quite. Im more of his financial adviser.
Mat Manner: umm ok. You asked me to call?
Business Man: Yes, your uncle left a messege for you with me saying how to collect on the $100,000 he left in your name.
Mat Manner: Oh yeah? And how might I collect on that?
Business Man: Well you probebly already know that your great uncle was the owner of one of the only remaining castles on the west coast.
Mat Manner: umm not really.. I didnt really know much about him.
Business Man: I see... well no matter. To collect on the money you must travel to his old home and spend fine days within the castle.
Mat Manner: Is that it? to get $100,000 all I have to do is spend five days in a big ass house? Count me in.
Business Man: That is great news! I'll have the directions sent to you right away! Have a good day sir.
Mat Manner: Yeah ditto.
Mat hangs up the phone and looks at Eric with a big smile on his face.
Mat Manner: money money money money money
Eric: MONEY!
The two dance around until Eric stops.
Eric: Dude you have a match tomorrow! You cant go away now...
Mat Manner: Pff no worries, i'll win my first match, then leave the next day. then we will spend tuesday to saturday at that big ass house in the mountains. muahah
Eric: Good just as long as you dont forget about your match.
Mat Manner: no worries dude, Dont you forget to tell Patrick that we are leaving tuesday. Dont want him alone here by himself for a week. He will go insane.
The two then go back to dancing around like idiots
